“There can be no doubt that whether in daily life or on the world’s stage, fear is the great usurper of progress and Personal Freedom.”
“Fear rules us only if we let it.”

Pneuma
A minute and 4 seconds, Green screen and 3D animated new media dance performance video, 2019
“Pneuma” is an artist’s study of many aspects of a human being, a human body specifically, and nature as space and a structure containing certain individual energy and spirit that resemble one another. The artist provokes the conversation about very profound but raw human element,” feelings and emotions,” through their square framed silhouette dance performance, especially this specific time (the global pandemic impacted by the virus, COVID-19) in which people feel ripped out of from human connections and live in a mixture of overwhelming feelings, such as frustration, fear, anger, etc. of unknown future. The artist delivers a message of hope, bringing awareness of power in alignment between body and feelings in a digital space as a new nature. The piece was composed using 3D software, Maya, and green screen-recorded dance performance as the artist’s visual language to envision personal “feelings,” holding a digital space as a sacred realm for a spirit. The piece is inspired by the lyrics of the song Virgil Abloh’s single, “Delicate Limbs.”
